Wintering
The second poem & centerpiece from the "Wintering" poetry collection by The Crying Crustacean.
It is February
The frost finally puddled
Lawns have began to sing
My window is open tonight
Warm air, sirens
I hear summer in the trees
One moment to another
so fast and fleeting
All in sync
like how the planets
will twirl as one
in two days time
A lunar eclipse aligned
its peak at 333
Why do numbers
strike feeling?
I ask this all while
we face Mercury
Dear god—
What change do you have for me?
Fire horses set ablaze
full force into heat
Only the power lines
reply to me
They tell me of hope
that change is reaping
They say the snake
has shed the last skin
Finally set free
They say,
Wintering is over!
The cold is bound
to face defeat.

Good effort
Wonderful!
